Good Morning, March!
See what I did there?! :D haha
Today is the first day of March, and that means lots of new
posts about new themes for the month! Last month, I tried to keep a daily topic
(Tuesday Trade, Friday Beauty Fix, etc.) as well as a weekly topic (love
yourself, love your friends, etc.). This month I’m only focusing on daily
themes.
Here is what I’ll be discussing each day this month:

Now that I have announced all of that, and officially welcomed you into March, let’s get on with the first themed post of the month!
Today I’d like to share with you
my all time favorite beauty products. These include makeup, skincare and hair care.
It's a long one!
First up: Skincare products!
Some of these products may look familiar, as you say them in
my pamper post, but these are my go-to trusted products for keeping my
skin at its best. On the left, you can see Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth deodorant.
I have used this stuff for years! Next to that are two lotions from Bath and
Body Works: True Blue Spa Shea Cashmere & Silk Hand Cream and Cashmere Glow
Triple Moisture Body Cream. Though I don’t love the smell of the former
product, it leaves my hands feeling unbelievably supple and Cashmere Glow has
a heavenly scent while leaving my body extra soft.
The two cleansers towards the middle of the bunch are Kiehl’s
Ultra Facial Cleanser, my go-to when I’m not in the shower, and Burt’s Bee
Citrus Facial Scrub, which I use when I’m in the shower, since it’s messier and
seems to work better with the steam. Also on the left you find Philosophy’s
Take a Deep Breath oil-free gel cream moisturizer which I have been using in
the day time, along with the Turbo Booster C Powder sitting on top of it. These
two keep my skin soft and bright!
Whenever I get out of the shower, I like to use Cetaphil’s
lotion followed by the B&BW lotions to get added moisture along with the nice
scent. I like using Burt’s Bee’s Coconut Foot Crème on my feet. I have found
that a lot of foot creams are peppermint scented, which I don’t like, plus this
one seems to be thicker than others I’ve tried and it works very well. For my
eyes, I love Philosophy’s Hope in a Tube both during the day and at night.
Lastly, at night, I use Mary Kay’s nighttime serum along with Lacura Q-10
Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream, found at Aldi’s. This stuff is the real deal! :)
Hair Products
For my hair, I tend to keep it pretty simple, as you saw here.
I have the Conair Ion Shine hairdryer which I only use when I don’t have time
to let my hair air-dry, and a Chi straightener which I have had since my
freshmen year of college. I like having a wide tooth comb as well as a skinny
one with an end I can use to part my hair. I also keep lots of black hair ties
around and the hair clips with elastics on the inside for better grip. I use a
large round brush for blowouts and the other to brush through my hair whenever
necessary. The only two hair products I use with any sort of regularity are
hairspray (currently loving Suave’s Touchable Finish) and Bed Head’s After
Party smoothing cream to keep frizz and fly aways at bay.
Makeup
Sorry for the blurry picture! Let’s start in
the top left corner with Maybelline’s Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin. It’s a
gorgeous peachy shade that compliments my skin well. Below that is my sample of
Bobbi Brown’s Luminous Moisturizing Foundation in Warm Ivory 1. I still think I’ll
purchase the full-size of this product, unless I find an awesome drugstore
foundation (any suggestions?). Below that is Rimmel London’s Stay Matte pressed
powder in Silky Beige. Opposite the powder are two concealers. In the pot is
Signature Club’s Double Play Powdery Crème and above that is Maybelline Fit’s
concealer in Light.
Above the concealer are Burt’s Bee’s cuticle crème
and a baby pink nail polish from Sally Hansen. To be honest, I don’t like the
formula of the nail polish, as it’s quite sheer, but I LOVE the color. Anyone
know of a better baby pink polish? In the center are two palettes. The big pink
palette is from VS and though I love other things in the palette, the one I wanted
to note was the one the white heart is pointing to, the peachy pink blush. I
adore this color. :) The smaller one is the Coastal Scents Go Palette in
London. It doesn’t tell me names of specific colors in this 16 piece eye shadow
palette, but I really like the brown for my brows, the tan for blending, the
blacks for smoky looks and the burgundy shades.
On the bottom half of the picture, you find
eye and lip products. I love the NYC eyelash curler. It’s cheap and works well.
I always use Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara in Black. My favorite crème eye
shadow is L'Oreal’s Infallible eye shadow is Bronzed Taupe. I like Maybelline’s
Line Stiletto Precision Liquid Eyeliner. Tony Moly’s Crystal Eye Decoration
makes a great shimmery white base or eye shadow as well as brightening eyeliner.
Now to lips! Skin Food Lipstick in 751 is the only lipstick I’m comfortable
wearing. I like L'Oreal HIP’s Shine Lipcolor in Splendid and Mary Kay’s Lip
Gloss in Inspiring. My all time favorite chapstick in the original Burt’s Bee’s
Lip Balm but I also enjoy Softlips in Strawberry.
What are
some of your favorites?
